Last week Annie Lennox attended a Buckingham Palace reception for leading South Africans and supporters of the country hosted by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. Annie spoke to the Queen about her charity work in the country where she has been fundraising and supporting projects dealing with the effects of HIV/Aids on the population through her SING campaign. Annie said the world was looking at President Zuma to "lead that country and turn some of the problems around" and that people wanted the statesman to "step up to the plate and really be seen to be making a difference in terms of health for the HIV pandemic."
